Following up on last week, I will explain where the actual Rules of golf may help in these health threats. Some of you are cleaning freaks and some rules may help.
I will cover the situations where you may change ball in the course of playing a hole. Many golfers don’t know that as a basic rule it is possible to change our ball every time, we will be playing the next stroke from a different spot.
When we have to mark and replace the ball in the same spot, we may not change the ball.
PREFERRED LIES
Many golf courses and some tournaments use the Preferred lies Local Rule. Each time. We may change the ball even if we place the ball with our hand.
AERATION HOLES
When the Local Rule is in effect, we may place the ball in the nearest spot on the green to avoid having the ball sitting in the aeration hole. It is also possible to change the ball.
In the following situations, before dropping, A PLAYER MAY CHANGE THE BALL.:
– Ball lies on a movable obstruction (example: towel)
– Immovable obstruction (cart path, building, etc)
– Abnormal Course Conditions (GUR, Animal hole, etc)
– No Play Zone (Flower bed, or other)
– Dangerous Animal Condition
– Embedded Ball
– Temporary Water
– Wrong Green
– Unplayable Ball
– Penalty Areas
Also, if you use the same ball, you may clean it.
COMMENTS: many readers are asking me to write something on what the Golf Club should do in order to open the 2020 Golf season.
I will talk about that topic next week. If you have any ideas, please don’t hesitate to write to me:

Preferred lies Where you are able to move the ball by picking it up and move. VS Summer Rules play the ball as it lies . If you wanted a change you must mark and lift. This then prohibits changing the ball.
